Crispy pepper (also known as Dune Pepper) is a handpicked forest spice in the boreal forest.
A pepper that is not one since, strictly speaking, they are kittens of alder, the fruit of a tree growing only in the northern hemisphere.
To be put in a mill for a small original tour just before service, the Peivre Crispé also adds whole berries in a simmered dish like a burgundy or a colombo (take care to remove them before service).
You can also grind it before use on grills, marinades or to bring a different note to your ketchups and jams.
