A Piece of History

Initially, there were whimsical ideas, a united family, the beauty of Gaspesian nature, entrepreneurial roots, and the desire to create products that capture the essence of Gaspésie.

Unique Sharing Beers

The first recipe invented at Frontibus is the Blonde Honey and Coriander, a light beer with subtle bitterness and an alcohol content of 5.3%. Although this beer has evolved over the years, it retains its unique taste thanks to the honey produced by the family-owned Château Blanc in Rimouski. We salute the new generation of this beautiful family business and raise our glass to their success.

The first IPA recipe created at Frontibus is the Belgian IPA, with an alcohol content of 7.5% and a distinct bitterness measured at 73 IBU. This double IPA stands out with its lush bouquet of citrus from selected hops: Centennial, Nugget, Cascade, Citra, and Mosaic. You will be transported by its myriad of exotic tones that will delight your taste buds.

The Double White of the Cedar Grove is a balanced beer. With 7% alcohol and moderate bitterness of 38 IBU, it offers exceptional freshness thanks to the addition of 100 lemon and lime zests, as well as shoots of Gaspesian conifers such as balsam fir, cedar, and larch. This award-winning beer in 2019 is highly appreciated and can be enjoyed in any season.

The Tripel Forestière from Frontibus is a strong beer with an alcohol content of 9.2% and a moderate bitterness of IBU 28. The key ingredients of this beer are three spices from the boreal forest, namely chaga, Labrador tea, and dune pepper, which give it a unique and authentic taste. On the palate, this beer reveals a wild character and a complexity of well-balanced fruity-spicy flavors.

The Maple Saison is a unique beer, flavored with mushrooms, distinguished by its woody maple aromas, without the sweetness. To truly understand this beer, one must take three sips: the first sip refers to the taste of maple syrup, giving the impression that the beer is too sweet; the second sip brings more freshness and provides more information to the taste buds; and the third sip reveals that it is a very refreshing beer, with woody maple aromas replacing the sweet taste. This complexity is created by the maple-scented Lactarius mushroom.

The Blonde St-Jean is a refreshing beer that is similar to a Bitter with a malty base and an English influence. It is balanced between the bitterness and the sweetness of the grains, inspired by the St-Jean River. This beer is ideal for those who like to discover new flavors or for fans of more classic beers.

The Lady Step, this Session IPA is generously dry-hopped with Falconer's Flight and Cascade hops, giving it a pronounced bitterness with notes of tropical fruits, citrus, and floral aromas. This beer is an intoxicating taste journey that takes you to new horizons of flavors.

The Admiral NEIPA is a beverage that presents a cloudy and opaque appearance and offers fruity aromas and intense hoppy flavors.
