Freddo Chocolate: 100% Nut and Peanut Free
A pioneer in the field, Freddo made the choice back in 1987 to operate from a facility free of nuts and peanuts, to ensure safe products for those with allergies. This approach, still in place, relies on ongoing training for teams and strict manufacturing standards. In addition to being nut-free, the majority of products are also gluten-free, meeting the needs of an increasingly ingredient-conscious clientele.
The company, now located in a facility over 25,000 square feet in Montreal, ensures rigorous control of the production chain, offering chocolates that are always fresh, tasty, and made in Canada.
The Birth of Freddo: A Brand for All Seasons
In 2006, Chocolats Vadeboncoeur launched the Freddo brand, aiming to offer a range of products available year-round, complementing the traditional festive chocolates of Easter and Christmas. Freddo stands out through constant innovation, a wide variety of chocolate bites, and its ability to delight both young and old at any time.
Every Freddo chocolate bite is designed to provide a memorable gourmet experience. Recipes rich in flavor, a melting texture, and a special focus on freshness are the hallmarks of the brand.
A Growing Canadian Chocolate Brand
Now led by Kevin Vadeboncoeur, the son of the founders, the company continues to expand while remaining true to its family spirit. Freddo chocolate continues to set itself as a benchmark for Canadian chocolate, and is diversifying by offering products such as maple chunky bites, caramel..., chocolate fondues, as well as spreads like maple spread.
