In the Montreal workshop, each ingredient is carefully chosen: natural cane sugar, spring water from Montérégie, bitter quassia (a natural substitute for quinine), and natural spices. Some recipes are enriched with maple syrup, citrus peels, elderflower, or fresh ginger, in blends designed to enhance spirits or simply to appeal on their own. No preservatives. No artificial flavors. Just bubbles and taste.

The commitment of 1642 doesn't stop at the recipes: the bottles, labels, bottling, everything is made in Quebec. The brand strives to reduce its environmental footprint while supporting the local economy. A craft-based approach from start to finish.

1642 Tonic

Made from quassia instead of quinine, this tonic stands out for its refined bitterness and dry profile. It pairs wonderfully with craft gins and fits perfectly into mixology, while still being enjoyable on its own.

1642 Ginger Beer

Powerful, lively, and naturally spicy, this Quebec-made ginger beer is infused with real ginger. Ideal for lovers of spicy sensations or for making a balanced Moscow Mule, without artificial flavors.

1642 Cola

An artisanal cola with maple syrup, a 100% Canadian signature. Less sweet than traditional colas, it offers a round and slightly vanilla-flavored palate, with a nice length.

1642 Orange

A refreshing recipe made with natural orange flavors, without excessive sugar or overly marked acidity. A balanced, mild, and sunny soda, perfect alone or in summer cocktails.
