In 2000, Charles Crawford and Suzan Reid founded Domaine Pinnacle, an ice cider producer located in Frelighsburg in the Eastern Townships. They collaborated with Christian Barthomeuf, the inventor of the ice cider process, to create a distinguished world-class product. The success of their product quickly exceeded all expectations, allowing Domaine Pinnacle to become the largest exporter of ice cider in the world. To meet growing demand, production was moved out of the small original orchard in Frelighsburg. The founders have since retired, but the brand continues to delight consumers with new gourmet products aimed at enhancing the versatility of the delicious ice cider.
