A Family Story

Domaine Labranche is the story of the Desgroseilliers family, who have been working the land in the Roussillon region of Quebec for four generations. They draw their passion and determination from their ancestor Médard Chouart des Groseilliers, an adventurer who led the first ship to reach the Hudson Bay via the northern maritime routes. Since then, the family has devoted themselves to agriculture, diversifying their activities to share the fruits of their labor with the public. Victor, for example, built a small cabin in the center of his sugar bush to host family and friends and to produce maple syrup. In 2009, the latest generation of the Desgroseilliers family created Domaine Labranche, comprising a sugar bush, a cidery, and a vineyard, to produce unique alcoholic beverages reflecting the uniqueness of the Quebec terroir. Always true to their origins, the family continues to work in harmony with nature to present innovative and high-quality products.
